Are You Getting The Most Of Your Robot Vacuum And Mop?

Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more adept, passing our cleaning tests and tackling various floor types. Choose models that allow you to choose between multiple types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.

A lot of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Check for an app that allows you to save maps, set schedules and select cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos available on the market. It uses lidar for navigation and creates maps of floors and rooms.

When I tested the S1, it was quick to locate our downstairs, which is home to linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without hitting them, and was able to traverse thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, but it sometimes was unable to navigate down stairs in a single step. The S1 also did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on its flat side against the floor and lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rug.

The docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water before every mopping session. The dock adds a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 mopping sessions, however it will differ based on how often you use the mop.

The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to wash out the tank that has been contaminated to prevent it from becoming blocked. It is also necessary to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting clogged up with dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides an effective solution for your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction power and comes with a number innovative features including voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than just moving a pad across the surface. The mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station if needed.

This robot has an easy interface that guides you throughout the process. It comes with an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged for those areas that the robot can't reach, as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and replenished whenever required. It also has a number of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily picks up most debris and even the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it can be stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Mopping capabilities are excellent and include a pair of mops which lift and scrub the floor instead of dragging the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the base station as needed. The mops are also refilled at the top of the station when needed.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our list of the top robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush guarantee an efficient, customized clean.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors.  Internet Page  was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease while avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping power is enhanced by a side brush that swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.

Its navigation is nimble that can navigate narrow spaces and climbing the stairs without a hitch. It can easily move from one room to another without having to reverse direction which is a great feature for homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is not as advanced than some competitors and leaves a wide space around obstacles. This can result in miss-hit spots.

Its app has a streamlined, intuitive interface that should be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, change suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You'll require a stable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up debris and dirt, but it can't always be able to reach every piece of dust. This is why it's crucial to make use of your regular vacuum once a week, especially to pick up dust in corners and on shelves and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed specifically for this purpose. It's easy to connect it to your Wi-Fi at home network and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your daily cleaning routine.

The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it doesn't come with mopping capabilities, and also has an aluminum body.

Although it's no longer able to mop floors, the Q5 has some of the best mopping and vacuum performance we've seen on a robot in this price range. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin by hand each time. It also has a clever application that lets you choose your floor type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system to allow hands-free operation.

Its mops are also awe-inspiring with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dust, dirt and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't show any trouble with high-pile carpets and area rugs, but it couldn't pick up kitty litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also features an innovative mapping system that helps it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums are unable to. It also stores dust in a larger dustbin that means you have to empty it less often. It also has washable filters, which can further cut costs. This robot can detect carpets and increase suction if necessary. You can also mark areas you would like to be able to keep from using the app.
